Drag the Words or “Drag Text”
Description
Authors generate a passage or other text that has missing pieces. They enclose the text they want to become draggable with asterix (*draggable*). The author is able to include as many or as few missing pieces as they would like. Additionally, they can choose to add hints to support learners who may struggle.
When to Use Drag the Words or “Drag Text”
Drag Text is most useful when checking if learners remember a text or to check their knowledge of a concept. It can be set up as a cloze passage, or a matching type activity. One type of matching activity can be checking vocabulary knowledge by matching the word and definition. Drag Text is great to pair with additional activities via a Course Presentation, Interactive Video, Interactive Book, Question Set, or Column Layout.
